Flower Shows 2007

Chelsea Flower Show - Our first Gold Medal at Chelsea. This really is THE award that every Floral Exhibitor dreams of and we have been amazed at the number of people that have heard or read about it.
There are more details and pictures of the exhibit on our
Chelsea Gold Medal Page

Flower Shows 2006

Chelsea Flower Show - Once again we were awarded a Silver-Gilt Medal (one down from a Gold) at this year's Chelsea Flower Show. Our fifth in a row!
We like to display our clematis in a fairly realistic way to give ideas and inspiration to our customers and visitors, but this does mean we do not always please the judges completely as they look for total perfection of flower positioning in a floral art sense. We prefer to reflect the more real life aspects of horticulture.

But medals are not everything - the visitors who saw the stand were very complimentary and we felt it was another good display of early large flowered clematis and it prompted tremendous interest and many orders.

As we are concentrating on the nursery a little more this year we will not be at any of the large selling shows such as Hampton Court. These shows are now far less profitable for us and are extrememly demanding of time and staffing. We are sorry for any disappointment caused.

Flower Shows 2005

Chelsea Flower Show - At Chelsea Flower Show in May we were awarded a Silver-Gilt Medal (one down from a Gold). This is the fourth year in succession that we have had the same award.
We were very pleased with the stand and had many compliments on the display.

We now have some of the Patio Clematis available. These were featured at Chelsea and on television with the breeder and introducer, Raymond Evison.

Hamton Court Palace Flower Show - Yet another Silver-Gilt Medal from the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) for our exhibit of Clematis.
The display was much admired by the public and our new introductions were very popular. These were a new viticella from Japan called 'Night Veil', a scrambling herbaceous type from Holland called 'Jan Fopma' and a stunning new introduction from England named 'Remembrance'. This is a very good mid - late summer flowering cultivar that has many flowers of a beautiful raspberry red.

Flower Shows 2004

Chelsea Flower Show - Once again we were awarded a Silver-Gilt Medal with which we are very pleased.

We exhibited about 70 cultivars of clematis on our stand and were delighted with the response from both public and press.

For personal and business reasons we are unable to exhibit at other shows in 2004.
Without the huge commitment that these shows require we will be able to spend more time at the nursery and with the family and return our clematis display garden to the standard we feel it deserves.

On our Chelsea exhibit this year, we featured our two new introductions -
'Fond Memories' and 'Pamina'.
We also featured a new introduction from Holland bred by our friend Wim Snoeijer, this is a non-clinging scrambler called 'Hendryetta'.
