We are able to export to most countries around the world, but at present cannot send plants to the USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.How To Grow Clematis.See below, on this page, for details of our export services.

Exporting clematis within the European Union is a straightforward procedure as no phytosanitary certificate or quarantine is required.
Providing we have the plants available we can export within the E.U. year-round.
We now offer two methods of dispatch. The cheaper option is our EU Standard Service, but we can now also offer a better service called EU Gold.
EU Standard Service
For this, our traditional method, the pot and most of the compost is removed, the top growth trimmed down to about 8-10cm. The plants are sent by airmail in a padded envelope.
Guidance notes on their care is enclosed. We recommend re-potting initially to allow the plants to recover before planting out.
Postage and packaging charges are currently -
£15.00 (GBP) per consignment plus £1.60 (GBP) per plant.
For example, to send four clematis would cost £21.40 (GB Pounds) in addition to the cost of the plants.
Parcels are sent by Express Airmail and are delivered to you by your Postal Service.There are some cultivars and types that we do not recommend for bare-rooting for the above service as their roots can be damaged in the bare-rooting process. However we will send them, with no guarantees, if you ask us to. The main types are as follows:-
alpina; cirrhosa; macropetala; heracleifolia; montana; New Zealand evergreens; tangutica.
For these types we recommend using our EU Gold Service detailed below -
EU Gold Service
This is our new, quality service. We remove the pot but not the compost. The rootball is left intact, bagged and the plants are packed in a cardboard box, with packing to prevent damage.
The top growth is trimmed down to 10-20cm. The parcel is sent by Express Carrier on a 'signed for' service - International Datapost. Costs depend on the destination country.
Examples are given below. The exact cost will be calculated on the order form when you select your destination country. Prices are in Pounds Sterling (GBP).

The table below gives some guidance to the requirements for those countries we have exported to in the recent past.Outside the European Union
Export beyond Europe is usually carried out between December and February, dispatching 'Bare Rooted' plants. Our nursery is inspected annually to enable us to export clematis beyond the EU.
The plants are bare-rooted and washed, inspected and given a Phytosanitary Certificate when required. For some countries there are further requirements, please enquire if more details are required.

The cost of a Phytosanitary Certificate in 2007 is £30.00 (Thirty GB Pounds) in addition to the bare-rooting, postage costs and the cost of the plants.

Parcels are sent by Express Airmail and are delivered to you by your Postal Service.We have a number of years experience in bare-rooting clematis for inspection by the Plant Health Authorities and obtaining the necessary phytosanitary certificate which enables export.
We are able to accept payment by MASTERCARD or VISA. Both cards are debited in Sterling. (GB Pounds)
