Printing Guide Notes for AdobeThe catalogue is designed to be printed in A5 format (half a 'normal' sheet of paper). If you wish to reproduce that you need to make specific choices on the Adobe printing dialogue box.
If you are not familiar with this but would like to try it out, the following notes may help.Alternatively you may just click print and see what comes out, but it will be 40 pages long!
You have four choices.
1. Print on A5, one page per sheet.
2. Print on A4, one page per sheet - gives LARGE PRINT version.
3. Print on normal A4 with two pages per sheet (sequential pages side by side)
4. Print as booklet version, to be folded in centre. (Great fun for the advanced / adventurous user!)In each case you should then have all 40 pages of the catalogue with all the text that is in our printed version.
There will be no pictures, cover, or order form. The following will guide you through the method you prefer.
PLEASE NOTE: These are based on Adobe Version 8, standard default settings. If your software is different to this, some or all of the guidance may be invalid!Home Page Return to Top Return to Download Page

When you have opened the pdf file, using Adobe Acrobat, select the print icon on the toolbar at the top of the Adobe Window.
In the box that opens up, look for the section (third box down on left in version 8) that is headed 'Page Handling'
In the second item - 'Page Scaling' select 'Booklet printing'
In the third item - Booklet Subset - select 'Front side only'
Below that box will be two boxes showing sheets 1 to 10. This is correct.
At the top of the box, beside your printer name, click Properties and then select A4.
(It probably already is, but this will make certain).
Click OK on the printer box.
Click OK on the Adobe box and 10 sheets will print out. NB do not use your scroll wheel as it may alter the selection you just made! Now the tricky bit. This should be a simple case of turning the stack over and re-loading to your printer, but just make sure:-
Look to see which side of your printer the bottom of the page is at (where the page numbers are). Put the papers back in, with the first one printed on the top and the bottom of the page on the same side as before.
Don't forget which way up the paper needs to be to get the next print on the blank side!
Then, again, just as before, select the print icon on the toolbar at the top of the Adobe Window.
In the box that opens up, look for the section (third box down on left in version 8) that is headed 'Page Handling'
In the second item - 'Page Scaling' select 'Booklet printing'
In the third item - Booklet Subset - select 'Back side only'
Below that box will be two boxes showing sheets 1 to 10. This is correct.
At the top of the box, beside your printer name, click Properties and then select A4.
(It probably already is, but this will make certain).
Click OK on the printer box.
Click OK on the Adobe box and 10 sheets will print out.If all goes well, you have 10 sheets, one lot of printing on each side, two pages on each side, all different, numbered 1 to 40, and maybe all in the correct order!!
